Firstly, the passage says that if we sell the fossils to private collectors, the public suffers, because these fossils could have been in the museum. However, the audio opposes this, as now everybody could buy these fossils and anybody could enjoy these fossils themselves. Even little public libraries or schools could buy these fossils too. This proves that the audience would be more interested in these fossils.

Secondly, more importantly, scientists would lose some of the most important evidence and discoveries of fossils. But the audio says that this is not true, scientists have to go and check these fossils for their value. This means that the scientist would not lose any valuable information about the fossils.

Lastly, the passage is criticizing the private collectors for not knowing how to take good care of the fossils. The audio oppose that these fossils should be damaged that nobody even discovers these fossils. This strongly proves that it is perfectly fine to buy and sell these fossils to private collectors.
