Black market

Animal Poaching is killing animals illegally. This is the killing of endangered and protected animals. Just in Brazil alone, 38 million animals are poached each year. Poachers sell these endangered animals on the black market illegally. Even though it is illegal, people still take this risk!

Rhino

Rhino

People poach Rhinos for their horns because they believe it is the main ingredient for medicines. Most of these rhinos are poached in South Africa. Rhinos were poached the most in 2014. People killed more than 1200 Rhinos a year! I strongly feel that it is cruel to poach rhinos for money.

Pangolins

Pangolin

People poach pangolins for their scales to boil in medicine, their blood to use as a healing tonic, and their meat for delacacy. Up to 2.7 million pangolins are poached every year. They are believe to be the most poached animals in the world! They are a critically endangered animal. It is unethical to poach these cute animals to extinction.

Elephant

African Elephant

People poach elephants for their tusks, mainly to make into ivory. People use ivory to turn into piano keys, chopsticks, and decorations. The worst year for elephants was in the 1980s. As many as 100,000 elephants were killed every year! Now only 400,000 elephants are left in Africa. This is very unlawful to kill these gentle giants roaming around the Safari.
