Describe A Time When You Enjoyed Something You Thought You Would Not Like

Four years ago, my dad suggested to me to try out dancing as a hobby. I could not accept his request as my classmates would poke fun at dance being for girls only. Finally, after my dad’s convincing speech, I reluctantly accepted to give it a try.

Walking through the doors of the dance studio, I saw that, as expected, all of my classmates were girls. I felt so embarrassed when they looked at me! I was pretty sure that I was not going to enjoy it. However, a few minutes into the class, I realize it was pretty fun! I felt that this could be a hobby I would like to continue.

Now, even though my teammates are all girls, it does not matter. I think it is my favorite sport and hobby. Looking back, it was silly that I thought that it was not going to be fun just because it was all girls. If I didn’t give it a try, I would lose one of my favorite hobbies.
