What is a Ragdoll?
A Ragdoll is a premium breed of cat. It has a very long and plush coat. It’s ears can be either dark or light brown. It’s face is a combination of white, gray, black and a pink reverse triangle. However, the most stunning part of the cat is the colored eyes. People are willing to pay huge sums of money for it. A ragdoll cat approximately HKD$45000 (USD$5800).
What should you consider beforehand?
You should think very carefully if you are planning to get one. Firstly, people need to know a ragdoll’s life expectancy is around 15 years old on average. You must be committed to not give up on the cat halfway. Secondly, if the cat is sick in the future, be sure to go to the vet and get a cure. You should also have enough money saved up so you can pay for the cure or operation. Lastly, people need to be responsible for the cat. For example, keep the cat entertained, clean the poop, or brush the cat once per week.
How to care for it?
- Provide the cat nutritious turkey or kangaroo meat
- Give the cat a comfortable pillow and a warm surrounding.
- Make sure your cat is trained to go to the litter box to do his business and MAKE SURE TO CLEAN IT DAILY.
- Give the cat many entertainment like a mouse-looking ball, squishy, a cat climb tree, and etc.
- Groom your cat to avoid it to be too messy and tangled.
- Frequently check your cat’s eyes and ears for any infections. If you find your cat sick take it to the vet immediately.
