Knowledge from experience or books?

Some people argue that people can gain more knowledge from experience than in books. For me, I strongly believe that experience is the most important source of knowledge.

Knowledge is gained from experience and in mistakes made in life. When you make a mistake, usually your parents will come to correct your mistake. For instance, I once fell because of running too quickly beside my house and tripped over a rock. My parents came and told me to be more careful next time. From then on I never ran too fast. Therefore I don’t fall that often than before.

Meanwhile, I gain knowledge from textbooks in subjects. Like English, Math, Chinese, Science, Social Studies, and more. Reading fiction books helps with my knowledge of pop culture, creativity, and imagination. When I read non-fiction books, I learn knowledge about the world around me. For example, I read a series that taught me about business, politics, economics, philosophy, and money. If I hadn’t read those books I would have never had the opportunity to learn about these things.

In my opinion, I believe that the most important source of knowledge comes from experience because we can learn much more things in real life than in books. This is because in books you can only know about the information but not experience it yourself.
