It is critically important that children should not waste time playing computer games. Instead, they should do something more important. I strongly agree that children should not be allowed to play games. I feel this way because of two reasons, which I will explore in further detail in my essay.
To begin with, children can get easily addicted to computer games. This happens because they do not have good self-control to restrict themselves from playing computer games excessively. For instance, my personal experience can illustrate that children are easily addicted to computer games. Last year, I loved to play a game called “Brawl Stars”. Firstly, I asked my parents to let me play it. My parents agreed to let me play it once a week for 20 minutes. Then, I felt it wasn’t enough, so I asked my parents to give me 10 more minutes to play. Next, I still wanted more so I asked them if I could play thrice a week. Lastly, I asked my parents to let me play every day. This shows that children do not have good self-control.
Furthermore, I feel that games are a waste of time because after getting addicted to computer games, they spend most of their time playing games instead of doing useful things. This would greatly affect learning for kids too because they would not focus on their academics as they would always be distracted by the game. For instance, a few months ago my parents let me play games every day. When I was at school, I was thinking about going home to play games all the time and not focusing in class and never did…
